Stairs in the Zollenspieker Hotel Hamburg

The classical design of the stringer stairs matches the prestigious architectural style of the building. The stairs cover three storeys. The individual flights are connected with bridges, which are fitted with indirect lighting. The railing with powder-coated flat-steel posts and transverse filling chords matches the classical design of the stairs.

Stairs with box-type tread structure MAT5000

  • Design and construction in accordance with DIN 18065

  • Stairs' ground plan: five-flight, straight

  • Flight width of the stairs up to 1,250 mm, 67 risers, 62 treads, 3 stairs head treads

  • 1 stairs' foot landing with a surface of 3.5 x tread surface

  • 2 half-landings with a surface of 3 x tread surface

Flat-steel stringers made of bright, sharp-edged steel (not hot-rolled flat steel) with a sophisticated look

  • Stringer thickness: 15 to 25 mm

  • Stringer height: 350 to 450 mm

  • With steel base plates fastened to the unfinished floor and the steel bridges

Tread structure for stairs

  • Box-type treads type TS400 for stringer stairs

  • Made of steel sheet, front and rear sides bent upwards

  • Welded-in top plate

  • Integrated footfall sound insulation

  • No visible weld seams in the junction between the treads and the stringers of the stairs

  • Suitable for tread covers made of stone or wood; with recessed top plates also suitable for carpet, tile or linoleum covers

Steel bridges with exterior stringers connecting stairs

  • With exterior stringers in the same design as the stringers of the stairs

  • Box structure of steel sheet with integrated footfall sound insulation

  • Interior steel profiles provide bracing for the stringers (required to compensate the high forces transferred by the stair flights)

  • Attached angular profiles and conduits with pull wires to accommodate the cables of the indirect lighting installed by the customer

MetallArt GE807 design railings for stairs

The described railing structure dispenses almost completely with welded connections > it meets high demands regarding the quality of the technical solution and the appearance.

  • Balusters: double flat-steel posts, accurately milled in the centre to hold the filling bars

  • Baluster supports of flat-steel brackets, with threaded bolts and cap nuts, screwed to the balusters

  • Hand rail supports of round bars with ribbed top sides to ensure force-fit gluing of the wooden handrail; flat-steel brackets screwed to the balusters

  • Balustrade filling of seven round bars running horizontally parallel to the stairs' inclination

  • Filling chords clamped on the face sides
